Letter from the Program Director

Thank you for your interest in our Interventional Pulmonology Fellowship Program at the Keck Hospital of USC.

It is our mission to provide advanced training for the care of patients with complex airway disorders and pleural disease. Clinical training will be the best possible and integrate research objectives to develop quality clinical, translational, or basic science programs related to interventional pulmonology.

Fellows in our program are team members providing care for IP patients in the inpatient and IP clinic setting. They perform procedures, teach fellows and residents, and present their work at local and national meetings.

In our program, goal is not only helping the IP fellow to learn the indications of a specific procedure and how to do the procedure, but more importantly learn "when not to do a procedure".
